Handover of duty of Chief of Delegation of Serbia at the International Military Sports Council
In the presence of State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic and Assistant Defence Minister for Human Resources Milos Jankovic, the duty of Chief of Delegation of Serbia at the International Military Sports Council (CISM) was received by Brigadier General Sinisa Radovic.
On this occasion, State Secretary Djordjevic stressed that sport is one of the key elements of every military.
- Without physical training, a military cannot sustain. Military is based on capable and physically fit people, and it is your responsibility to keep everyone who is a part of the defence system prepared in that respect – State Secretary said and noted that they can always count on his support, especially when it comes to sport.
During the handover ceremony, General Radovic congratulated his predecessor on our country’s achieved results in CISM, pointing out that a large part of it wouldn’t be realized without Colonel Djini’s engagement.
- I will do everything possible to keep the present level in this year, and one of my main tasks will be developing sport activities for all members of the military, and not just its representative part – General Radovic said, adding that Colonel Djini and the permanent delegation at CISM will remain in full formation, because their knowledge and experience are of great help.
His predecessor Colonel Dragan Djini wished him luck on his new duty.
It was a great honor for me as an officer and sportsman to be the the Chief of our country’s delegation at CISM, and I am sure that giving this position to General Radovic, Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Defence, will greatly contribute to further development of the delegation – Colonel Djini said, pointing out that Serbia, a member of International Military Sports Council since 2003, has achieved great results, not only as a contestant, but also as the organizer of contests.
