New medals for the shooters of the "Akademac“ Shooting Club
In the second round of the small-bore weapons shooting Cup of the Shooting Sport Federation of Serbia held in Novi Sad, the most successful competitors were the shooters of the “Akademac” Shooting Club by winning three gold, two silver and one bronze medal in senior disciplines. Before the individual competitions began, a minute’s silence was observed to pay homage to the prematurely deceased current European champion, Bobana Momčilović Veličković.
On the first day of the competition in the Olympic discipline of sport pistol, Jasmina Milovanović, a civilian employee of the armed forces triumphed with a high score of 578 points. Lieutenant Tamara Đorđević, who triumphed in the first round of the Cup, won the silver medal.
The second day of the competition was reserved for small-bore rifle and centre-fire pistol competitions. The most successful competitor in the discipline of shooting with small-bore rifle at 50m distance was Milenko Sebić, while his wife Alina Sebić took the third place in the same discipline for women. In the centre-fire pistol discipline, Lieutenant Srđan Matović won the gold medal, while Lieutenant Petar Nikolić won the silver medal.
After two rounds of the Cup, all the shooters of "Akademac" have already secured a place in the Cup finals based on their scores so far. The third round will be held on 11-12 July at the city shooting range in Novi Sad.
