Lieutenant Goran Čegar receives “Jovan Mikić Spartak“ award
Lieutenant Goran Čegar, a coach in the MoD and SAF’s Sports Unit, received the prestigious “Jovan Mikić Spartak” award for top sports results and achievements in sports.
By the decision of the Managing Board of the Sports Federation of Vojvodina and at the proposal of the jury of experts, Lieutenant Čegar was presented with the award for the decades-long contribution to the affirmation of sports, improvement of sports practices, organization in the field of military sports, participation in humanitarian activities and other merits in sports.
Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth Dane Basta presented Goran Čegar with the award.
- This award motivates me to continue working in sports. As someone who has dedicated almost my whole life to sports, I am happy that my whole family pursues a path of sports and lives a sports life, said Lieutenant Čegar at the award ceremony, which was held at the Sports Federation of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.The "Jovan Mikić Spartak" award is presented every year to the best individuals and organizations that have achieved success in the following categories: athletes, athletes with disabilities, coaches, sports judges, sports organizations, top sports achievements, fair play, sponsors-donors, and for lifetime achievement.
